There are nearly 100,000 Vietnamese people living in the Czech Republic. What do you really know about them? And what do you know about the second generation - those who were born here or grew up here since they were toddlers?
Come visit the Little Hanoi, Next Generation photo exhibition and discover the stories of young Vietnamese men and women. They might have grown up among convenience store shelves, in bistros, marketplaces, or caught between two languages, but today they have long since broken past the stereotypes to forge their own paths.
The exhibition features portraits by Štěpánka Stein and Vendy Mlejnská, alongside personal testimonies of second-generation Vietnamese in Czechia, captured by Thuy Duong Nguyen Trinh. It opens up themes of identity, roots, family, expectations, gratitude, pressure, and the search for one's own voice between Czech and Vietnamese cultures.

A space to meet the creators, ambassadors, the community, and anyone who wants to better understand life between two worlds. Story Night

Performance: "Visiting the Nguyens"

The exhibition was created as a cultural bridge between the Czech Republic and Vietnam. After its premiere in Hanoi, it is now moving to Prague, where many of these stories first began.
Come with an open mind. You might just leave with a brand-new perspective on a community that has been closer to you all along than you realized.
